Join runners and walkers of all ages and athletic abilities, dressed in everything from briefs and boy-shorts to t-shirts and costumes, and help fund life-saving research for cancers like prostate, colorectal, cervical, ovarian, kidney, bladder, testicular and uterine.
Motorcycle Ride for Dad Saturday - June 6, 2009 - The Motorcycle Ride for Dad is Canada's biggest annual motorcycle event dedicated to fighting prostate cancer through research and education. The first Ride for Dad took place in Ottawa in 2000 with 75 riders; in 2009, engines will roar in 25 cities across Canada! Behind the Motorcycle Ride for Dad is the dedicated National Advisory Board, the many police associations, all the volunteer executive committees in each of the event cities, and last but not least, the thousands of riders who have come back year after year to join the fight against prostate cancer!
Betty's Run for ALS June 14th, 2009 - Glenmore Park Rowing and Canoe Club - Betty's Run for ALS celebrates, promotes and channels hope for those affected with ALS, their families and their friends. 60% of the funds generated from Betty's Run assists Albertans living with the disease through equipment and client service support. 40% funds ongoing research to identify the cause and cure for this devastating disease. JDRF Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes on June 14, 2009 at Battleford Park - The annual TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes unites communities across Canada to help find a cure for diabetes. The TELUS Walk is a fun way for families, friends and the corporate community to get involved and help make a difference in the lives of over 240,000 Canadians living with type 1 diabetes. Last year, the 2008 TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes brought together over 45,000 Canadians and raised over $8 million!

Relay for Life in support of the Canadian Cancer Society June 19 - Calgary Rugby Union Help make cancer history by participating in the Relay for Life in support of the Canadian Cancer Society on June 19, 2009 at the Calgary Rugby Union. Supporting the Canadian Cancer Society, Relay For Life is an event that inspires hope and celebrates cancer survivors. Teams of 10 people will set up camp and take turns walking around a track for 12 hours, all in support of the fight against cancer.
Hockey Night in Canada presents Play On! 4 on 4 Street Hockey June 20th & 21st - Deerfoot Mall parking lot Hockey Night in Canada is proud to present Play On! The official 4 on 4 Canadian Street Hockey Tournament along with The FAN 960. It will be coming through Calgary June 20th and 21st in the Deerfoot Mall parking lot. This highly organized street hockey event celebrates the game of hockey in its most basic form... in a fun-filled atmosphere that makes kids feel like NHL pros and helps adults feel like kids again. 20th Annual 65 Roses Ladies Golf Classic Celebrating 20 years of Breathing Life in the Future
June 22 - Earl Grey Golf Course. - To date, the 65 Roses Ladies Golf Classic has raised over $660,000 in support of finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Sadly, cystic fibrosis is still fatal. Each year children and young adults are taken from their families by this terrible disease. Parents of children with cystic fibrosis count on the support from people such as you to help find a cure in time to save their child. Although there have been many advancements which have helped to extend the life of people with CF, a cure still eludes us. $225 per golfer includes a 18 holes, power cart, a fabulous dinner, silent auction, prizes and more!
